                                         Virtual show and tell-March 2021

Most people seem to have been doing something other than sewing in March!
But it gives us more space to look at this absolute cracker!

This is one of Elizabeth Hartman's fabulous animal quilts. This one was done by Mags
for her grandson. The quilting was done by a former member of our guild, Kelly.
If you look carefully at the animals you'll see that they have extra wadding to make them really stand out

The next one is by Karen. This shows the shadow quilting on the back

And this one is the front. You'll notice that none of these trees
have any birds in them

But don't panic! The birdwoman of Glenshee couldn't stay away
 from them!

This is by Kristen, one of our new members. This is a novel way of recycling
10 pairs of jeans!

This one is by Juliet, the current queen of improv. It's a collection of random blocks
and it's called Quilt Soup

Tom, another one of our new members has been pattern testing. This is a recent finish

These lovely postcards are by Liz. We think they would make a good Zoom project
for our virtual sewing day

Now on to the sartorial section. The spring has brought many ideas for new quilted clothing from 4 of our members (the rest of us would like to completely dissociate ourselves from this section and will pretend not to know these people if we see them in the street dressed like this)

In between pattern testing and washing the world's cleanest dog, Tom is planning to
knock up this sartorial beauty

Janet and Barbara G may soon be fighting over who gets to pick their colours first
for this beauty-otherwise they may look like twins

But the prize for classiest couture goes to Janet, who will no doubt be rocking these
trousers on her next trip to the supermarket

Hopefully next month they will have finished their new wardrobe and we can all have
 a laugh-sorry, a look at their pret-a-porter collection
